Being a collection of the art and music of Denis A. Dowland.
The graphics section has been divided into four parts:
photography, illustration, cartoons and strips. While photography is pretty well self-contained as a category, being
generally conventional and cuddly, the distinction between illustration
as fine art and satire will be a
matter of personal temperament as often as not. The latter is made up
of anything from single frame cartoons to multi-page strips.
It is only fair to warn that the tone of some of these stories is unlikely to meet
the expectations of the pious. While the author doesn't purposely
set out to offend, a number of these entertainments can best be
described as scabrous. Most of them however, and this may surprise
some readers, were published in print so this warning is for the benefit
of the very timorous only. You can link to the galleries, juke-box, shop and email via the objects that populate the landscape. The copyright notice below also links to a slightly more tedious version, sorry. This is a Flash-driven site so your browser needs the Adobe Player which you can download from here, should you need it. This site was tested on today's most common browsers and appears to behave reliably. Apologies are probably due to visitors with smaller screens who may well get irritated no end having to scroll all over the pages but part of the site is rather caption-heavy and there didn't seem to be an easy way to preserve legibility on smaller pages. A further argument put forward by the surprisingly affordable site designer (me) is that by the time the design is altered everybody will be staring at 40 inchers anyway.
